Sweet Jesus! Have you acquainted yourself with Stella McCartney lately? Now, I try not to seek out luxury brands just to avoid the torture of unrequited love (my bank wont let us be together), but after watching Stella’s recent interview on Broadly and hearing her discuss her refreshing approach to new materials- and catching sight of her unspeakably beautiful Falabella bag, it was only a matter of time before I had to have a sneaky peek on the website.
I won’t lie, now I slightly regret. Oh the heartache! I’ve never spent even half that amount on an accessory, but that’s not to say I don’t think they are worth every penny. The Falabella accessory line attracted me in particular not only because it is so damn gorgeous, but also because the production is environmentally lead; proving that using recycled materials doesn’t mean compromising on style or quality. Well, we can all dream. So why don’t we dream together and take a look at some of my hottest picks from the collection at the moment…
NAVY FALABELLA SHAGGY DEER SHOULDER BAG
They are all so good it would be hard to choose. This dark midnight navy still has as much drama as the black option but would add more dimension against a predominantly black outfit. I would wear after dark with a smokey navy blue eye, a la Lisa Eldridge
FUR FREE FUR WREN COAT
Stella went inside my head, pulled this out and turned it in to a reality with the Wren coat. Suitable for all year round, being so warm and cosy but in such a cool, fresh colourway. Would look amazing draped over a casual white tank and shorts for the cool British summer nights. And it’s fur free = guilt free.
Next we follow with these bad boys. Hallelujah have you ever seen anything so badass yet so chic? Oh the detailing! Wear these with box fresh sweats without a second thought and an ‘I woke up like this’ attitude. I would also pair these with a greige colour palette on a tailored ensemble for a big of contrast.
Let’s finish everything off with a bit more chainmail, this time on the footsies with big black BINX. Wear Binx in the town, on the frow, or to the corner shop- you’ll look great either way. Wear with whatever you already have on, and you’ll feel comfortable and empowered.
