The air finally smells like spring and the sun is a-shining, so I finally busted out this lightweight oversized nautical dress that I’ve been saving for the warmer seasons. This is probably slightly premature and I might be wearing it with lots of layers today, but hey, it’s England- you cant have it all!

This dress is lightweight and loop-backed, so it’s super friendly to the skin. It has an easy to wear cocoon-style shape, which will keep me breezy and comfy in the summer heat, but it is also long enough that I wont feel self conscious with a bare leg. And a total bargain at £20. Bonus!

Since it’s still pretty chilly despite the sun I paired the dress with opaque black tights and my trusty orange coat. I finished the look off with my shiny burgundy oxfords, a red lip and a touch of vintage gold hardware. This look is more ‘office’ than ‘beach’ for today, but I feel ultra comfy and light. Easy!

Coat – an old find on Etsy
