Saturday: what I wore

OOTD no. 1

Today I was on a mission and I wanted something fun for the ride.
Milder temperatures finally permitted me to wear this fabulous new coat which I acquired from my favourite vintage store a few months back. Minty leather with a cropped sleeve length, layered up with lots of black knitwear underneath to keep warm and accessorised with a few other recent acquisitions of pastel loveliness…

Minty green leather coat – Strangeness & Charm vintage
Cute as a button lavender belt – also Strangeness & Charm vintage
Lavender knitted stocking – Weekday
Various black knitwear underneath -Thrifted / 10 year old Topshop
Pastel pink mohair scarf -1950s, thrifted.
Black peep toe clogs – Lottas Clogs
Nails – Essie ‘Wicked’

The coat is not in immaculate condition (I lucked out on the sale rail!) which is ideal to have in your wardrobe as well as the mint condition variety. It means I don’t have to be too precious when wearing it and can therefor wear it on days when I may encounter a few scuffs and scrapes. Basically I can live in my vintage without feeling like a china doll (though I may look a little like one!).

boxy upright

Boxy shape coat, paired with a tapered leg keeps me from looking swamped. My peep toe clogs enhance the pretty stockings for a winter look. I’m growing out my hair slightly so I’m teetering between a chic sixties bouffant and looking like Jessica Fletcher. The wind is not my friend at times like this!

Hmm… too much colour? Naaa!
feet up

And……Mission completed! My brand new bike collected from across country! I scored this on eBay last week and have been dying to collect it. I’m already looking forward to my commute on Monday morning! Now all I need is a burgundy helmet to match……….
